Situated in over thirty acres of gardens and woodlands, Shennanton House is surrounded by the original 3000 acre estate and is ideally placed for touring Dumfries and Galloway and its surrounding area.

It is a Grade A listed building designed by the Glasgow architect HE Clifford in 1908, and is a house of national importance and unusual architectural interest.

For a large gathering of family and friends wishing to holiday together, the whole house can be rented as one; however please note that there is no central catering or dining area. It is, however, possible to cater for larger groups by the use of outside caterers who serve Shennanton House.

The individual houses can be rented separately or in various combinations in order to accomodate parties of four (the Lodge) to 12 (the Cairnsmore).

Shennanton is ideal for families, as children can enjoy the freedom of the wonderful grounds where they will find play equipment and many areas to explore, as well as meeting new friends and playmates. Adults can enjoy a game of snooker or a round of golf.
